Terry Thomas Obituary, Death- A man was killed on Saturday afternoon when he was a passenger in a car that was involved in an accident on Interstate 69. The collision only involved one vehicle. On Saturday, about 3:05 p.m., deputies from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident that involved many automobiles and had taken place on Interstate 69 at the Teeters Road Overpass, which is situated to the north of Martinsville. The crash had taken place on the interstate.
It was discovered that the driver, a man called Terry Thomas who lived in Martinsville and was 64 years old, had passed away at the scene of the accident. It was reported that the male passenger in the vehicle was a kid, therefore emergency medical personnel were called to remove him. He was transferred to the IU Health Morgan campus for treatment. It is currently impossible to tell what the child’s condition is like at this moment. The Indiana State Police as well as other members of the emergency services went to the scene of the collision as soon as they heard about it. Because of the accident, one of the lanes leading northbound on Interstate 69 was shut down for a duration of several hours.
According to the early findings of an investigation into the incident, Thomas was driving a 1965 Ford Mustang on Interstate 69 in the direction of the northbound lanes when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with the abutment of a bridge. Thomas was behind the wheel of the vehicle at the time of the incident. As a direct consequence of this, the vehicle’s adult driver as well as the vehicle’s young passenger were both thrown out of the vehicle.
