Tan Houghton Obituary, Member Of Alphington Bowls Club Has Passed Away

Tan Houghton Obituary, Death – Yesterday, a wonderful celebration was held at ABC in memory of Tan Houghton. The event paid tribute not just to his life but also to the many positive contributions he made to the club. In the previous year, he abruptly passed away before the start of the summer pennant season, which was far too early. As a postseason event, we held a tournament for novelty bowls; at least 90% of the club bowling members and friends took part in the competition.

Tan was a talented bowler and also served as the ABC club secretary for a number of years, all of which contributed to the organization’s positive perception of him as a member. Tan was also substantially involved as the Manager of the Melbourne Bowls Centre for a number of years, and he was consistently very helpful in providing our bowlers with excellent coaching. This was one of the many roles that Tan played in the bowling community in Melbourne. After some time had passed, Tan started working as a technical site inspector for AESG, a regional firm that is also a sponsor of ABC. AESG is located in the same region as ABC.

Tan passed died much too soon after his sickness, which is a terrible shame. We had a great time partaking in the activities that were offered at the carnival, which included bowling with our eyes covered and using the hand on the other side of our dominant arm, as well as donning costumes. The guests were served a supper that consisted of lasagna that had been prepared in the host’s home kitchen. The entirety of the day was filled with wonderful moments. That would have been ideal for Tan, but it wasn’t. Many thanks to everyone who has been so generous in supporting our club.
