Stevie Heckendorf Obituary, Death – After graduating from Fairmont West High School in Kettering, Ohio, where she received her secondary education, Connie enrolled in Ohio University. She went on to complete her undergraduate degree in business administration at Wright State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree. The majority of Connie’s working life was spent in sales and marketing, and she rose through the ranks to become a leader in the industry at several different firms, including Rike’s Department Stores, Top Value, NCR, and Chinon Cameras.
After some time had passed, she and her husband, Glenn, built a successful business that later became known for its expertise in photographic equipment and precise optics. They had a lot of success when they worked together. Spending time with her grandchildren, as well as paying her family and friends visits, traveling on vacation to Nantucket, Vermont, and Europe, organizing events for the adult fellowship of the church, and working on a variety of arts and crafts projects with her friends, brought her a great deal of joy.
She also found great enjoyment in going on vacation to Nantucket, Vermont, and Europe. In addition to this, she volunteered her time with The Friends of the Southbury Library and recorded audio books for the Connecticut Talking Books program. This program is designed for individuals who are blind or who have some other form of a physical disability. Constance “Connie” Heckendorf of Southbury, CT, passed away April 28, 2021, after battling a lengthy illness. She was born June 27, 1947 in Dayton, OH to A. Robert and Ruth Becannon Locke.
