Steven Dorsagno Death, Obituary – Yesterday, when I was attending Hammered Brunch, I was saddened to learn that my lifelong friend and Orlando’s Master Hair Colorist, Steven Dorsagno, had passed away. DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT! Despite the fact that we both had busy schedules, we managed to stay in touch thanks to social media and text messaging. Although I was aware that Steven struggled with his health, I also knew that he was a fighter who frequently made a full recovery.
As he was surrounded by his family and friends, I have no doubt that Steven was aware of how much his loved and appreciated he was. On the Orlando drag circuit, it is general knowledge that if you are a white drag queen in need of professionally treated and coloured hair, Steven was DA MAN! He was a true expert in his field and took great pride in his work; as a result, all of his customers left his chair feeling beautiful, content, and satisfied. Steven was successful despite the difficulty of gaining the approval of drag queens.
After knowing Steven for well over 25 years, the memories are crazy, full, and will be remembered for the rest of my life. I am indebted to Sierrah Foxx for introducing me to Steven; with Sierrah at the core of the friendship, one can only speculate about the anecdotes. Oh, my, both of them are gone now….. I wish to extend my most sincere sympathies to Stevens’s companion, as well as his family and friends. I was smiling to myself as I noticed this within Steven’s Messenger discussions while I was scrolling through them. All praise and thanksgiving are due to God for the life that was lived and the love that endures.
