Shanita Williams Obituary, 34-year-Old Woman Killed In Little River Car Crash

Shanita Williams Obituary, Death – The female victim who passed away as a result of the collision that took place on Highway 9 in Little River on Monday has been successfully identified by the Horry County Coroner’s Office. The incident led to the victim’s death. Shanita Williams, who was 34 years old, was unable to recover from the injuries she had in the single-vehicle crash that occurred near the intersection of Highways 31 and 9. She passed tragically as a result of her injuries.

Michelle McSpadden, the Deputy Coroner, shared this information with us. She was born in North Carolina, more precisely in the towns of Selma and Smithfield. Her family has been there for generations. The incident resulted in injuries of varied degrees being sustained by a second adult, as well as by two children aged 10 and 13, and two of the children were adults. Additionally, the incident resulted in injuries being sustained by two adults who were children.

At 3:45 p.m. on Monday, emergency crews from Horry County Fire Rescue were dispatched to the northbound lanes of East Highway 9, near to where it intersects with Highway 31. The region is situated in close proximity to State Route 31. On the onramp from Highway 9 to Highway 31, the driver apparently collided with a guard rail, flew airborne, and then slammed into a tree after breaking through the canopy of the tree. The South Carolina Highway Patrol was kind enough to supply us with the aforementioned information. The State Highway Patrol (SCHP) is now conducting an investigation into the collision that occurred.
