Ronald E. Uter Obituary, Death – Ronald Edward Uter, 85, of Waverly died Friday, March 31, 2023, at The Good Samaritan Society of Howard Lake. Marysville Township, September 16, 1937. His family lived north of Waverly. Ron graduated in 1955. The University of Minnesota School of Agriculture in St. Paul gave him the chance to study in Sweden for a year. He joined the Army Reserves after Sweden. Ron met Kay Rachel during a Maple Lake Pavilion dance.
Ronald married Katherine in October 1963 and reared three children on the property until his death. Ron raised good cows on this farm. Merryville Farm had many registered Holsteins. Ron loved his wife, kids, and farm. Zion Lutheran Church was his lifetime church. He served on the Lake Region Co-op Board, Wright County Extension Committee, Western Oil Transport Co-op, Marysville Township Board, and Wright-Hennepin Holstein Association.
Ron loved spending time with his family on the farm, was a lifelong 4-H Dairy Project Leader, and helped kids train and groom their dairy animals. Ronald Uter’s funeral will be held in Buffalo’s Zion Lutheran Church on April 5, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Kari Bahe officiates. Waverly’s St. Mary’s Cemetery. The Buffalo Peterson Chapel will have a visitation on April 4th from 5-8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 5th, one hour before church services. Trinity Hospice and The Good Samaritan Society of Howard Lake provided great care.
