During my time at the Derry Journal, I had the opportunity to work with Pat. Pat was a very kind and warm-hearted individual.
I have many happy memories of her talking about her husband Seamus and of course, her “wains.” We listened to many stories, but what we heard most often was the love she had for them and how proud she was of them all. I will never forget that. She was quite particular about her appearance, especially her “little bit” of lipstick, which she made sure to reapply several times throughout the day. Pat, I can still hear you laughing and I know she had a wonderful heart. May you finally find some peace, you precious person. My deepest condolences go out to her family at this time. I am so sad to hear this so soon after your daddy’s passing, Manus, Roisin, and the rest of the family. Keeping you all in my thoughts. I pray that your mother finds eternal rest. Always in my mind and in my prayers
