Misty Velvet Obituary, Death – I regret to inform you that a former member of the Tribe family has passed away. It is with a heavy heart that I do so. Misty Velvet, you had such an incredible spirit. You gave assistance to our organization whenever you had the opportunity to do so. We will miss having you as a regular presence. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. Her grandparents, Mary Oliver Renfro and Delbert Renfro, as well as her older brother, Nathan Altonray Renfro, passed away before she did.
Misty Nichole (Renfro) Ballard, age 36, of Lufkin, Texas, will be laid to rest on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery. Brother Nathan Pannell will preside over the ceremony. Ms. Ballard passed away on April 11, 2021 in a hospital in Nacogdoches, Texas, whereas she was born on May 20, 1984 in same city. Ms. Ballard was the owner and operator of the cleaning service known as Polished Maids. She enjoyed going shopping, getting her hair done, listening to nice music, and raising Shih Tzu puppies in her spare time. Her religious affiliation was with the Harmony Hill Baptist Church.
Her daughters Jaden Hope Ballard and Raylee Faith Ballard, both of Central, as well as her mother Tammy LaVonne (Tarver) Johnson of Huntington, her father Nathan Renfro and his stepmother Mary Ann (Temple) Renfro, her boyfriend Tad Wheeler of Lufkin, her siblings Crystle Toler, Dwayne Temple, Desirae Temple, Mindy Pettit, Michelle Davis, Justin Staples, Summer Davis, and Collen Lewis, At Carroway Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, the family will be there to greet friends and loved ones from five in the evening until seven in the evening.
