Marko Bebich Obituary, Death – Our hearts were broken when we learned of Marko Bebich’s passing around the time that many people are away from work or school for the Easter break. In our thoughts and emotions, we will always cherish the memory of him as a kind and generous man. Marko was one of the earliest members of the club, having joined Central in 1963, the same year that it initially started taking new clients. In fact, Marko was one of the earliest members of the club.
Following that, he went on to make 181 appearances for the club’s first team over the course of 13 seasons. As a result, he is currently ranked ninth on our all-time list of players who have appeared for the first team. During the period that he was a member of the club, he helped them to win three titles.
Marko was also a member of the club committee for a number of seasons, during which time he made significant contributions to a variety of capital works projects. These endeavors were carried out when Marko was serving on the club committee. In all of these attempts, including the development of our new clubrooms on Kiwitea Street, which was one of the projects he worked on, he played a significant part.
During this entire span of time, Marko was an active member of the club and took part in all of its various endeavors.
After that, the President of the Club, Mate Tolj, concluded his statement by adding, “We are saddened to hear of the unexpected passing of Marko.” He was one of our original members and had a significant influence on Central over a protracted length of time, both on the field of play and in the off-field activities that the club was involved in during that time period.
His contributions to Central may be attributed to the fact that he was one of our founding members. In addition to that, he was one of our founding members. In this most trying time, we would like to offer our most heartfelt condolences to Michele, Mara, Alana, Anton, and Stefan, as well as to each of their families.
