Marilyn Brown Obituary, Death – We at the Parsonsburg Fire Company are saddened by Marilyn Brown’s passing. The departure of Marilyn Brown, who served as treasurer of the Auxiliary for many years and was a long-time member of the organisation, is something that the officials and members of the Parsonsburg Fire Company announce with sorrowful hearts. The death of Marilyn took place on
April 10, 2023, when she was 74 years old. In August of 2011, Marilyn became a member of the Parsonsburg Fire Company Auxiliary, and ever since then, she has been an indispensable member of the team. She held the position of treasurer for a long time, and during that time, she was always focused on finding methods to boost money for the auxiliary so that it could better support the purpose of the fire company. Marilyn was very well organised, and you could constantly find her getting ready for a new event, whether it was a party,
a fundraising, or another event. In addition to the administrative work that she undertook, she also helped out in the kitchen, and her presence was definitely felt there. The potato salad and apple fritters that Marilyn made were a huge hit at every gathering they were brought to because she enjoyed cooking so much. She was the most knowledgeable person in the kitchen and could recite recipes and
measures off the top of her head with no effort. The passing of Marilyn has left a profound void in the hearts of the officers and members of the Parsonsburg Fire Company. Her unwavering commitment and tireless efforts will be remembered for all time, and those who were fortunate enough to know her will miss her deeply. During this trying time, the company wants her family and friends to know that they are thinking about them and sending their condolences.
A memorial service will be held on April 22, 2023 at noon at the Parsonsburg Fire Company, which can be found in Parsonsburg, Maryland at 33030 Old Ocean City Road. The service will be presided over by Rev. Steve Willing. Marilyn Brown, may you finally rest in peace. You are going to be sorely missed.
