Levi Tysinger Obituary, Death- At Trinity Hospital in Minot, North Dakota, Levi LaFountain, age 21, of St. John, North Dakota, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. Duane Peltier and Jerelyn LaFountain welcomed Levi LaFountain into the world on July 6, 2001 in Belcourt, North Dakota. He was born and reared in Belcourt, where he also received his schooling and graduated from Belcourt High School in 2019.
At TMCC in Belcourt, he continued his schooling and earned an Associate of Science degree. Levi also earned a Personal Training Certificate and completed the Police Academy in 2021. He was known as a National Power Lifter in addition to being a personal trainer. He was a member of the BIA Drug Taskforce and was employed as a police officer for the City of Rolla at the time. Levi cherished exercising, taking care of his body, and going to the gym.
Wrestling in high school broke state and federal records. He was a state football player and one of three TMCHS runners to reach 1000 yards. Levi often traveled with family, friends, and brothers. He enjoyed their company. He will be missed. Levi is survived by his grandparents Donald Peltier and Lorraine Brunelle, his parents Duane Peltier and Jerelyn LaFountain, and his siblings Chelsey Henry, Aaron Henry, and Eric LaFountain.Levi’s grandparents and uncle, Linus LaFountain Jr., died. The casket bearers are Aaron Henry, Sam LaFountain, Dante Davis, Mitchell Davis, Terrence Wallette Jr., and Christian Azure. Honorary Bearers are only family and friends.
On Thursday, April 13, 2023, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Belcourt, North Dakota, with visitation starting at 8:00 AM and a Rosary Service at 9:00 AM prior to the funeral mass. In the spring, he will be interred in St. Ann’s Catholic Cemetery in Belcourt, North Dakota. The Eagle Heart Center in Dunseith, North Dakota, will serve a lunch after the funeral service.
