Laurie Larmer Obituary, Laurie Larmer Has Peacefully Passed Away

Laurie Larmer Obituary, Death – Laurie Larmer, one of the very few people to have survived the Second World War, passed today at the age of 99. During the war, Laurie was a Halifax bomber pilot. In his latter years, he made an apology tour of several of the German villages that he had previously bombed. One of the mayors expressed regret that Laurie had not provided more advanced warning so that the municipality could have organized a larger ceremony.

A very remark made by Laurie was that he had provided greater warning than the previous time he visited. During the many years that Laurie managed the Doutta Galla Hotel, he was happy with how he brought the business around to become a fantastic neighborhood pub, as it continues to be today. The man Laurie was was honorable, thoughtful, and exceptionally bright. What a terrible piece of news, Danny! Laurie sounds like a lovely human! My deepest condolences go out to Laurie’s family and friends.

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do. In addition to being a close friend of mine, he was a loyal supporter of the Labor Party during his entire life. My prayers are with this man’s family, especially his three daughters at this time. I’d want to express my gratitude to Laurie for the warm friendship she’s provided me with as well as the positive impact she’s had on our town.
