Keitt Wannamaker Obituary, Death – I regret to inform you that Wesley Keitt Wannamaker passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 12. On Monday, April 17, from 9:00 am to the start of the ceremony at 12:00 pm, visitation will take place at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70808 in Louisiana. He was a previous member of the South Carolina Development Board, former president of the Southern Cotton Growers and Southeastern Cotton Ginners Association, and a current member of Cotton Inc.’s Executive Committee.
He was also very engaged in South Carolina’s agricultural industry. He served as a director on the National Cotton Council’s board of directors and as vice president of the South Carolina Farm Bureau Marketing Association. Mr. Wannamaker belonged to St. Matthews Parish Episcopal Church, where he served as a Lay Speaker, Sunday School instructor, Senior Warden, and member of the Vestry. Additionally, he served on the Still Hopes Board of Directors and the Commission for Ministry for the Diocese of South Carolina.
He had served in the Army during the Korean War and had previously belonged to Lions International. Besides his wife, Mrs. Tally Smith Wannamaker of the home, he is also survived by two daughters, Dr. Luci W. Daley and husband, Dr. Lee Daley, of Spartanburg, and Mrs. Talley W. Kayser and husband, the Rev. Mark Kayser, of Boiling Springs; son, W. Keitt Wannamaker Jr. and wife, Becky, of Baton Rouge, La. ; brother, Joe Long Wannamaker, of St.
