Joseph Shorten Obituary, Death – On Friday, the deceased man, who was identified in the community as Joseph Shorten of Castletownkenneigh and Enniskeane, was found inside a farm structure. At the site, Mr. Shorten’s death was confirmed by medical personnel. Following the removal of his remains, a post mortem examination was performed at Cork University Hospital.
His wife Joan, his sister Mary, and his brothers Ben and Robert are the ones who will go on after him. A spokesman for the Gardai has confirmed that the Gardai have been told about the fatality, and she has also stated that the Health and Safety Authority has been notified. An investigator went to check out the situation.
Gardaí will create a file for a coroner’s inquest. At 7.30 in the evening on Monday, the body of Mr. Shorten will be transferred from the funeral home owned by O’Mahonys in Enniskeane to the church owned by St. Bartholomew in Kenneigh. On Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., there will be a service held in his honor, and thereafter, he will be laid to rest at Killowen Cemetery.
