Jonathan Wood Obituary, Death – On June 10th, 1979, in Harrison, Arkansas, Jonathan David Wood entered the world. He was baptized on April 10, 1988, at First Southern Baptist Church in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, where he had attended as a child. He was a basketball starter at Lafayette Elementary, Floyd Central High, and Graceland Christian, and he was always happy to give the refs his two cents when “needed.”
While both working at Charleston Outreach Ministry in the summer of 1999, he met his future wife, Shonda. He’s been a father, a member of the US National Guard, a successful businessman, and a graduate of UAB’s communications program in his 18 years in Alabama. His gifts as an announcer, singer, karaoke fanatic, and sports fanatic were a boon to many. He originally supported the Hoosiers, but later shifted his allegiance to the Crimson Tide.
On May 18, 2022, at 3:33 p.m., he passed away in Youngstown, Ohio from his automobile accident injuries. His willingness to donate organs helped save countless lives.
