Jennifer Mosher Obituary, Death – Jennifer Mosher, 43, Lincoln Park. Beloved daughter of Mary nee Walsh and the late Richard Patrick Mosher, Sr.; loving sister of Colleen (Bertel III) Olson, Maribeth (Charles) McElveen, Richard Patrick Jr. (Diana) and Daniel (Jennifer) Mosher; dear aunt of Bertel IV, Mary Kate, Danny, and Connor Olson, Michael, Margaret, Thomas and Kathleen Mosher, Georgia, Charlie, and Clementine McElveen, Grace and Gabrielle Mosher; dear cousin to many.
Jennifer Ellen Mosher was vivacious. She lived life fully. Daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and companion to all children. She loved kids and teens. She hated seeing children suffer. She was always a youngster being the youngest of five. Jennifer laughed contagiously. She liked jokes. She embellished a wonderful story to make it funnier. She enjoyed alpine and tropical travel. She liked extra-cold apple martinis. She enjoyed the movies.
She was a thoughtful gift-giver.2003 brought breast cancer to Jennifer. She died fighting. Jennifer was optimistic, seeking further treatment to prolong her life since life was worth living. She learned about breast cancer and hardly complained. Due of her silence, we underestimated her recent pain. She established close friends with other cancer patients. She was kind and comforted by others.
Jennifer’s family takes solace in the notion that her stem cell transplant and trials helped the medical community learn and may benefit young women with breast cancer in the future.Jennifer earned her BA from Regis University in Denver and her MSW from Loyola University Chicago. She adored Loyola and graduated with straight A’s. Teenage mothers and hospice patients were her favorite fieldwork.
Social work suited her since she could sympathize and relate to everyone.Jennifer believed strongly. She joined her Dad in heaven and no longer suffers. We miss her.Visitation Friday, January 9, 2015, 4:00–9:00.
