Irene Milton Obituary, Death – We regret to inform you that the remarkable Irene Milton, who founded our organization, passed away recently. Her legacy will live on in our hearts forever. On the afternoon of Friday, April 14, 2023, Irene passed away peacefully at home. She was a fighter who fought vigorously for the rights of women and families whose lives had been affected by HIV/AIDS. She was a fighter for the rights of women and families.
After the untimely death of her beloved adopted daughter, Christie Milton-Torres, she created Christie’s Place as a memorial in her honor to pay tribute to her life and legacy. Christie’s Place has been serving our community with great pride for the past 27 years as a direct result of Hurricane Irene, which occurred in 2011. We will be conducting a memorial service for Irene here in our home at the request of her family. Please join us for the celebration of her life.
