Howard Smith Obituary, Treasure Lake Sportsman’s Club Member Died

Howard Smith Obituary, Death- On April 12, 2023, at the age of 73, Howard Albert “Punk” Smith, who resided in Treasure Lake, DuBois, Pennsylvania, unexpectedly passed away at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The hospital is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was brought into the world on June 8, 1949, in DuBois, Pennsylvania, by his two doting parents, the late Howard Smith and the late Helen Gordon. Both of his parents have now passed away.

Howard served in the Army Reserves during his time in the military. On May 27, 1978, Howard and Lee Ann Licatovich Smith tied the knot and began their lives together as husband and wife. She will continue to exist. Prior to Punk’s retirement from the position of warehouse foreman at Claster’s in DuBois, he had served the company for a significant number of years in that capacity.

Shayna Ireland, who is married to John Ireland and lives in Malta, New York; Erin Smith, who resides in Orlando, Florida; his sister Carol and her husband Ben Anderson, who reside in Falls Creek, Pennsylvania; and six grandkids, namely Kateyln, Thomas, and Sophie Bender, Everlie Ireland, and Nyx and Ryze Hickman. In addition, Howard is survived by his son, Thomas Bender, who currently resides in DuBois, Pennsylvania; his daughter Shayna Ireland; his sister Carol; and his daughters Erin Smith and Shayna Ireland.

Both of his parents as well as his uncle Ed Miller had previously passed away. He was not successful in outliving either of them. There are not enough smiles in the world to be filled with all of the love and happiness that Howard has brought into it, and there are not even enough words to convey them all. In addition to being the most loving husband and parent conceivable, he was also the most amazing grandpa that has ever existed on the face of the globe.

Shooting pool, listening to music, playing golf, going on vacations with his wife, and hanging out with his best friend Dave Gritzer and his wife, Jeanine Gritzer, both of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, were among Punk’s favorite things to do. Both Dave and Jeanine Gritzer were both from Pennsylvania. Everyone who had the privilege of knowing Howard will be left with a profound sense of loss upon his passing.

At the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 11 AM until 12 PM, visitors are welcome to pay their condolences to the deceased at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at twelve o’clock in the afternoon, and Father Mark Swoger will serve as the officiant for the event.
