Ed Braswell Obituary, Death – On Thursday, March 2, 2023, at the age of 69 years old, Edward Gene Braswell passed away unexpectedly. On December 18, 1953, he was brought into this world in Onslow County by his mother Christine P. Bartlett and his father, the late Bobby Braswell. In addition to his own father, his daughter Jennifer Crawford and his brother Ricky Braswell passed away before him. His father also died first. Ed devoted his entire life to working as a driver of oil tanker trucks. He was competent and was aware of how to perform his duties well.
He worked in the industry for nearly 50 years, first for a few different businesses and then, for the past 15 years, for the Potter Oil Company in Aurora, North Carolina. Ed developed a deep passion for motorbikes and tractors in his spare time, while he wasn’t working. He was the proud owner of a vintage International tractor that was a valuable possession. However, the new tractor that he had just purchased brought him a great deal of happiness as well. Even though Ed enjoyed spending time with his motorcycles and tractors, spending time with his longtime sweetheart, Ellen, made everything better. She was his companion throughout his life. Ed and Ellen made a stunning couple.
Ellen’s presence in Ed’s life made it more fulfilling on many levels. She brought more joy into his life. On Monday, March 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., there will be a service held at the graveside in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, with Reverend Dennis Pollock serving as the officiant. Following the conclusion of the service, the family will meet with friends at the cemetery. His companion of 34 years, Ellen Grice, as well as her children Pamela Roberts and Todd Grice, are among those who will miss him after his passing.
In addition to his mother, Christine Bartlett, he is survived by his son Christopher Braswell and his wife Tammy, his brother Kenneth Braswell and his wife Norma, his sister Sheila Parrish and her husband Jeff, eight granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Ed’s honor to a charitable organization of one’s choosing.
