We are sorry for the loss of your loved one. David was a passionate part of the Scouting community in our District, notably with the
8th/26th Todmorden. He was a member of the 8th/26th Todmorden. At one point in time, he was considered to be a member of that army unit. Everyone will experience loss in their own special way when he passes away. When he goes away, everyone will feel his loss of him in their own individual and unique way. I must notify you of his demise with a very heavy heart due to the fact that he was a lovely father and grandfather. He passed away yesterday. Yesterday evening at Stubbing Wharf in Hebden Bridge, all of us were taken aback when we learned of his demise; the news came as a total shock to us all. As a direct
consequence of this, all of us are currently experiencing extreme disbelief in addition to tremendous grief. We had just gotten back to our house from an incredible week of canal barging with members of his extended family who were part of the 26th Todmorden Scout Group. We are going to make an announcement and get in touch with you very soon regarding the funeral arrangements that need to be made. This will take place in the very near future.
