Members of the Fountain Fire Department (FFD) were initially summoned to the region of Alegre Circle and Highway 85/87 in Fountain at approximately 8:30 a.m. to investigate the situation after an employee of the BNSF Railway noticed a man who was unresponsive beside the train lines. It was discovered, after the arrival of medical personnel at the scene, that the person had already passed dead before to their arrival.
In a statement to the press that was released by the City of Fountain on April 10th, the victim, identified as Christian Cook, age 31, was given.
