Carlos Arvizu Death – Carlos Arvizu, 20, from San Diego was reportedly visiting friends at a property in the vicinity on Friday when he was challenged by someone in a vehicle who shot him. According to the police, the shooting occurred. The victim of a deadly shooting that occurred on Friday night in San Ysidro was named by the San Diego police department as a man in his 20s who was visiting friends there.
According to a statement made by Lt. Steve Shebloski, who was quoted in a news release, Carlos Arvizu, who is from San Diego, was standing in front of a property on East Park Avenue near West San Ysidro Boulevard at approximately 10:20 p.m. when he was shot at least once. Arvizu had a gunshot wound to his upper body when the officers arrived, and he was bleeding heavily from the wound.
He was taken to a hospital, but he did not survive his stay there. It is very early in the investigation, and very little is known about the events leading up to (Arvizu’s) death, other than the fact that the victim was presumably visiting acquaintances at a property in the neighborhood when he was approached… and was shot at least once, Shebloski said.
“The investigation is still very young, and very little is known about the circumstances leading up to (Arvizu’s) death.” After the shots were fired, the vehicle took off running. According to Shebloski, the detectives are conducting interviews with locals in the area in order to gather evidence and identify potential witnesses.
