Brenda Gibbs Obituary, Death – It is with a painful heart that We must convey the news of the passing of a person who was significant to a vast number of us all and a true treasure of the community that was Southeast Queens. A woman of regal thought and spirit who will be sorely missed because she was an amazing gem, a calming influence, and a wise teacher. My heart goes out to her husband, Brother Richard Gibbs, who was also one of my most influential teachers. Please accept my sincerest condolences. We would also like to take this opportunity to extend my sympathies to her family as well as to each and every member of our community who is lamenting the loss of this stunning Queen.
We will miss Ms. Brenda’s mentorship, her guidance, her attendance at every crucial community and political meeting alongside her husband Richard, and her unwavering commitment to our community, including her participation in and support of the Cambria Heights Civic Association and so many other local organizations.
