Avery B. Apley Obituary, Death – Avery Apley, age 42, from Angels Camp, California, passed suddenly on April 4, 2023, due to an unforeseen illness. He was born on December 16th, 1980 in the city of Lodi, in the state of California. He is survived by his wife Amy Apley, his kids Piper and Ryder Apley, his parents Grant and Valerie Apley, his brother Zachary (Tom) Apley, his grandmother Phyllis Raggio, and his in-laws Jim and Arlene Justice and Janece Roberts.
He is also survived by his brother Zachary (Tom) Apley. He also leaves behind a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as a large number of other family members and acquaintances, particularly those who were part of his close-knit circle, of which there were many. His grandfather Pete Raggio, as well as his grandparents Carl and Jean Apley, passed away before he did. Avery was a student at Bret Harte High School, where she participated in the basketball program and graduated in 1999. He completed his study and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources from Chico State University in 2004.
His major was Natural Resources. During his tenure at Chico State, he earned a spot on the Dean’s List on multiple occasions. He worked as a Land Surveyor with F3 Engineering in the Bay region for more than 15 years, and then he worked for TSD Engineering of Folsom for the final few years of his career. He retired the previous year, and since then he has been devoting his time to raising his girls alongside his wife and tending to their land. Being outside brought him the most joy because it was his favorite place to be. Avery’s enthusiasm for hunting with his family and friends led him and his grandfather, Papa Pete, on a number of excursions to neighboring states.
