Alan Henwood Obituary, Death – All of us here at Henwood Engineering will miss Alan Henwood greatly, as he was a dear friend to all of us, and his departure has left all of us with a tremendous sense of loss. Alan helped me out with the tools, drove the forklift, gathered the supplies, and did some administrative work for me for a large length of time. I will never, ever forget the annoyance on his face when our very first rivet oven was delivered.
It irked him that he was relieved of the job of heating rivets, which was something that he had to perform thousands of times in the past. I shall never forget his rage. He was a wonderful gentleman, a friend, and even though they were not related by blood, he was regarded a prized member of the family because he would frequently say things like “I’ve been up all night worrying!” Despite the fact that they were not related by blood, he was considered a beloved member of the family.
We referred to him quite frequently as “Uncle Al.” During this trying time, we want Mary, Ben, and the rest of the family to know that we are praying for them. Uncle, may you finally find rest in peace, and may you always remember that “when you get to the end of the lollipop, all you have left is the stick.” You are going to be missed very, very much.
